Professor Ralph Tabberer CB

Professor Ralph Tabberer CB was Director General of Schools in England between 2006 and 2009, a post in which he was responsible to the Prime Minister at the time, Tony Blair, for the development and performance of 23,000 primary, secondary, and special schools in the UK.
Ralph is renowned as an education leader who is steeped in classroom practice. As a former teacher and researcher into how children study and learn, he has expertise in curriculum, pedagogy, student assessment, teacher development, and new technologies.
Ralph has extensive international education experience and, in the past, worked as Director of the Teacher Training Agency and for the National Foundation for Educational Research (NFER). He is a Cambridge University graduate and a qualified teacher.

Mrs Daljit Kaur

Mrs Daljit Kaur

Daljit Kaur was named TeenTech Teacher of the Year in 2015. She has worked tirelessly for many years to create an environment where pupils are encouraged to explore their own innovative ideas. Daljit, previously Head of STEM Innovation at Loughborough Grammar School, has now become the Regional Network Lead (RNL) for STEM Learning UK for the East Midlands. Daljit brings over 15 years’ experience in education as a Teacher of Computing. Her spare time is dedicated to working on community based projects and working for S.H.A.R.E. charity. She is extremely excited and dedicated to helping young people.

Mr Jujar Singh

Mr Jujar Singh

Jujar is currently a Senior Risk Audit Manager for a large UK & International bank, and has worked in various risk management and audit roles for over the last 15 years. Outside of work, Jujar enjoys getting involved in community projects. He has been a governor at KPS since October 2015, and Chair of Governors since 2017. Jujar strongly believes that the foundations and opportunities we create for children through their early years will have a positive impact for their entire lives. Therefore, he is passionate about creating a nurturing and empowering environment for our children in order to help them to reach their full potential.

Dr Daljit Singh Virk OBE

Dr Daljit Singh Virk OBE

Dr Virk is a Senior Research Fellow at Bangor University. He has been at the heart of one of Bangor University’s most impactful research projects, which has contributed to improved food security and livelihoods for millions of households in some of the most impoverished countries.
In 2020, Dr Virk received an OBE. The award recognises the impact of Dr Virk’s scientific contributions as geneticist and plant breeder, as well as his leading role in establishing the Sikh-faith school, Akaal Primary School, in Derby in 2015.
Dr Virk is the founder Chair of Governors of Akaal Primary School, and led the team to plead with the DFE for a new building in the centre of targeted poor areas of Derby.

Mr Onkar Singh

Mr Onkar Singh

Onkar Singh is a local businessman who is passionate about community service and has been involved in the Sikh School project in Slough since its inception.
Onkar was instrumental in the fundraising campaign when the Khalsa Primary School opened in 2007.
